How many employees does LCEC have?

Approximately 400 skilled employees are positioned throughout the six-county service territory, working varied schedules to ensure customers’ energy needs are met around the clock. LCEC is one of more than 850 not-for-profit electric distribution cooperatives located throughout 46 states and serving 75 percent of land mass in the nation.

What happened to LCEC customers in Lee County?

On Oct. 10, LCEC and its mutual aid partners restored power to thousands of customers in Cape Coral and North Fort Myers, bringing total customers out of service in Lee County to less than 5 percent, excluding Sanibel-Captiva and Pine Island.

You can support LCE by donating online. LCE’s staff and volunteers assist more than 6,000 elders each year with monetary benefits totaling over $16 million. More than 800 LCE volunteers, interns and fellows contribute more than 20,000 hours of pro bono service annually.
