Job Description:

We are looking for an Analytics Director who will be able to advance our consumer research analytic efforts as well as play a meaningful role on our syndicated and custom research projects.  The Analytics Director will have responsibility for applying multivariate analytic techniques and developing predictive models that incorporate consumer survey, economic, and actual point-of-sale data for several different industries. Will also analyze historical company and government data for the creation of predictive models that forecast performance.  The Analytics Director will also help refine existing proprietary consumer tracking surveys and help develop new ones in a variety of industry verticals.  The Analytics Director will also help design, execute, and interpret quantitative market research projects on behalf of Consumer Edge Insight’s clients including both companies and institutional investors

The Analytics Director will be responsible for analyzing the predictive value of the company’s current tracking studies, suggesting refinements, and help increase their value to clients.  The Analytics Director will also be responsible for helping to develop new tracking studies, proprietary indices, and other intellectual capital-based research products. The Analytics Director will be responsible for turning the results of consumer surveys into clear and relevant insights that are relevant to our clients, and therefore being able to draw big-picture strategic insights (and conclusions that are relevant to investors) from large datasets is critical.

The Analytics Director will report to the President of Consumer Edge Insight and interact regularly with other Consumer Edge Insight team members as well as external clients.  The Analytics Director should be self-sufficient and not mind doing all aspects of analysis, report production, and project execution themselves if necessary.

The candidate should be excited about joining a small, entrepreneurial company that is in the early stages of developing its intellectual capital and reputation with clients. The position offers the opportunity to be a key member of a growing business with strong potential and help shape the company’s products at an early stage.  There should be substantial opportunity for long-term growth in responsibility and financial reward for talented candidates.
