Job Description:
We are looking for an Analytics Director who will be able to advance our consumer research analytic efforts as well as play a meaningful role on our syndicated and custom research projects. The Analytics Director will have responsibility for applying multivariate analytic techniques and developing predictive models that incorporate consumer survey, economic, and actual point-of-sale data for several different industries. Will also analyze historical company and government data for the creation of predictive models that forecast performance. The Analytics Director will also help refine existing proprietary consumer tracking surveys and help develop new ones in a variety of industry verticals. The Analytics Director will also help design, execute, and interpret quantitative market research projects on behalf of Consumer Edge Insight’s clients including both companies and institutional investors
The Analytics Director will be responsible for analyzing the predictive value of the company’s current tracking studies, suggesting refinements, and help increase their value to clients. The Analytics Director will also be responsible for helping to develop new tracking studies, proprietary indices, and other intellectual capital-based research products. The Analytics Director will be responsible for turning the results of consumer surveys into clear and relevant insights that are relevant to our clients, and therefore being able to draw big-picture strategic insights (and conclusions that are relevant to investors) from large datasets is critical.
The Analytics Director will report to the President of Consumer Edge Insight and interact regularly with other Consumer Edge Insight team members as well as external clients. The Analytics Director should be self-sufficient and not mind doing all aspects of analysis, report production, and project execution themselves if necessary.

Skills / Experience Required:
• Advanced degree in relevant field with strong academic performance
• 5+ years work experience in quantitative market research and relevant advanced analytic work for corporate clients in a consulting role
• Expertise and extensive work experience in multivariate analysis, causal analysis, predictive modeling, forecasting, and segmentation
• Direct experience with linking consumer tracking surveys with actual economic, government, and company sales data
• Experience in a broad range of consumer product and service businesses
• Experience conducting quantitative research in US, Europe, China, Brazil, and other major countries
• Strong understanding of consumer behavior and motivations
• Strong skills in SPSS, SAS, and other market research applications
• Critical thinking and the capability of generating consistently accurate, useful reports
• Enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insights
• Detail-oriented with very high quality standards
• Strong business sense and ability to see business implications of research findings
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Flexible and willing to perform many roles as the company grows
